Student Opportunities

Even though Summit is an online school, we have great and amazing ways for students to stay engaged, get involved, and make the most our of their time in high school!  Check out our subpages below to learn more!

Alternative Credit Opportunities
Summit offers students the opportunity to earn credit for activities completed outside of the regular school day!  From Work/Volunteer Hours to Independent Study PE to Independent Study/Personal Passion Projects, there are many opportunities for students to earn credit!  Visit our Alternative Credit Opportunities for more information!


Career Pathways
At Summit Learning Charter, we offer a comprehensive Career Pathway program designed to help students explore and develop the skills needed for success in a variety of industries. We have specific pathways in Business, Information Technology (IT), and Health Sciences, which provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge and skills in their chosen field. CLEP
Earn FREE College Credit with CLEP!  Visit our CLEP wepage for more information.  


Early College Program

Enrichments
Summit offers Virtual and In-Person opportunities for students to get together, learn, and have fun!  Opportunities vary each term - check out our Enrichments page for more details!

NOTE: Students interested in attending an on-campus Enrichment must complete the Enrichment Form (available in their Canvas page or on ParentSquare).


Language Testing
Summit offers the opportunity for students proficient in more than one language to complete Language Testing to earn high school credit and potentially the Oregon State Biliteracy Seal!  For more information and to schedule testing, visit our Language Testing page.


Leadership
SLC’s Leadership class offers student the opportunity to develop leadership skills such as decision making, communication, critical thinking, relationship building, team work, event planning and serving our community! We organize events, share responsibility for our food pantry, manage the student store,  and support our students' needs.  Visit our Leadership webpage for more details and link to apply!


LINK Crew
A diverse group of hands stacked together in a circle, symbolizing unity.LINK Crew matches Freshman with upperclassmen to help mentor and support them through their first year of high school!  Students interested in becoming a mentor should contact their Advisor; applications are available each Spring.
