Summit's Students United Mission Statement

Summit Learning Charter School's Students United brings together students of different sexual orientations and gender identities and their allies to meet new people, hang out, and have fun, while raising awareness in our community about sexual and gender diversity, and advocating for equal treatment for all youth. We will coordinate outings, dances, movie nights, and other activities. By celebrating gender and sexual diversity in all our activities, we will make our school a safer place for everyone.

2026-2027 Events

We are an inclusive group, aimed to support our LGBTQ+ students and allies in making our school a safer space. During our meetings, we talk about things going on in our lives and in the world and support one another in their journeys. We have lots of activities and discussions planned for the upcoming year, including the creation of our 2nd annual Dorothy's Digest! Members also help to organize group meet-ups outside of school (NOT school sponsored field trips, but rather opportunities for members to hangout!).

Here are some local organizations that offer events for LGBTQ+ Youth. Please note that these events are Community Events (Open to the Public!) and are not sponsored by Summit Learning Charter
